Around 1.5 km of TEEM motorway-grade route will pass through Municipality territory. The road will be slightly raised (a few metres above ground level). The Muzza Canal will be traversed on a roughly 100 m-long mixed section bridge (three spans).

The “Alternative route to the Strada Provinciale 201-Marzano Bypass” will be built as a TEEM-related work to create a new road link for medium/long-distance traffic. A total of roughly 1.3 km in length, it will allow traffic from the “Paullese” Strada Provinciale 415 and the future TEEM to bypass the built-up area of Marzano, providing relief from the intense flow of vehicles that currently affects it.

Merlino territory also falls under the “Muzza-San Biagio di Rossate” Special Environmental Project, which is set to improve an area of great natural and architectural beauty thanks to a major restoration of the Bramante-inspired Church of San Biagio di Rossate, and an extensive network of cycle/pedestrian paths to enhance the entire area.
